Welcome
As a resident of District 3 in Blue Springs since 1988, I have seen tremendous growth and improvements within the City’s infrastructure. Living here in Blue Springs has become synonymous with nationally-recognized public schools, affordable housing, quality parks and recreation, excellent health care, unsurpassed 911 emergency services, lots of retail shopping venues, and more! The future holds so much promise for our City!
As your representative in City Hall, I want to be a positive influence and strong voice for all of the neighborhoods and businesses located in District 3. I so appreciate the dedication and hard work of those fellow citizens who have served all of us in this capacity in past years, and I pledge to continue their quest to make Blue Springs even more vibrant and livable. I encourage you, therefore, to frequently express your comments and/or concerns to me regarding City government services, such as street maintenance, community development and planning, public safety, and traffic flow improvements. My name and number have always been in the phone book.
It’s really no surprise to me that our wonderful community was recently named as one of America’s “Best Places to Raise Your Kids” (Business Week Magazine, Nov. 2009). My wife and I can say ‘Amen’ to that special recognition! Blue Springs has been our family’s home for the past 22 years. As your Councilman, I want to do all I can to continue this welcoming environment to our current and future residents, businesses, and visitors.
Like my campaign artwork says, "Go with Grant Bowerman". We all know that the green light on a traffic signal means go ... which lets us move forward and get to where we need to be. That's what I want to do for the citizens of Blue Springs ... help this City move in positive directions to continue to improve our public safety, economic development, schools, parks, streets, and programs. It's the right thing for me to do!
I truly believe that there are many self-proclaimed ordinary citizens here today in Blue Springs who are very capable of doing extraordinary things for our community in 2010 and beyond. I sincerely look forward to meeting you and serving with you!
Your neighbor,
Grant Bowerman
